Instituto Auá
Consulting for the mapping of sociobiodiversity enterprises: identifying who they are, what they produce and how they are organized — businesses led by family farmers, traditional communities and entrepreneurs from the urban periphery.
Auá means “people” in Tupi. For almost 30 years the institute has supported community businesses in the Atlantic Forest region, working in education, the solidarity economy and fair trade.

Who's behind it
Laura Conde Tresca
Co-founder — social impact and public policy
Journalist and social scientist with a master's in communication policy and over 25 years across technology, culture and human rights. She spent 11 years at ARTICLE 19, campaigned on Brazil's Internet Bill of Rights and its data protection law (LGPD), and sat on CGI.br as a civil society representative. When she isn't writing or researching, she's out hiking some mountain trail — and she's the mother of two wonderful children.
Daniel Basconcello Filho
Co-founder — technology, research and development
Software engineer for over 25 years and founder of Swile Brasil, a worktech that grew into a global unicorn. He works from software down to hardware: product development, embedded systems for industrial automation, digital art, sensing and telemetry, with 3D printing applied to real problems. Away from the screen, he sails the Brazilian coast — and he's the father of two wonderful children.
